IBACOS Launches Home Quality + Performance™ Leadership Recognition Program

At the 2010 Alliance Annual Meeting, IBACOS introduced a new program recognizing Alliance homebuilders who have demonstrated their commitment to improved quality and performance in homebuilding. At that meeting, five homebuilders were recognized as inaugural winners of the Best Practices Research Alliance Home Quality + Performance award.

Homebuilders who win the Home Quality + Performance Awards have demonstrated their commitment to improved quality and performance in homebuilding in four areas:

1. Commitment to Company. The homebuilder has shown initiative and commitment to leading their Company Strategy in a new direction, focusing on Higher Performance Homes as a central element
2. Commitment to Homes. The homebuilder has demonstrated success in implementing this strategy in the Design and Construction of their Higher Performance Homes
3. Commitment to the Homebuyer. The homebuilder has shown commitment to differentiating themselves in the market and serving their customers by providing Higher Performance Homes to homebuyers
4. Commitment to Market Leadership. The homebuilder has leveraged the achievement and success gained in implementing this strategy in their Marketing, Sales and Customer Service for their Higher Performance Homes

2010 winners are John Friesenhahn and Imagine Homes, Shane Maloney and K. Hovnanian Homes' Southern California Division, C.R. Herro and Meritage Homes, Chris Schoonmaker and S&A Homes, and Mike Nimon and Wathen-Castanos Hybrid Homes.
