Insight Homes emerged as a high performance builder after refining the product it delivered under its former company, 36 Builders. To date, the builder has focused its efforts almost exclusively in Sussex County, DE.
Insight builds all of its homes to meet the strict requirements of the American Lung Association Health House program, and every house built receives ENERGY STAR® certification. Its collaborative research activities with IBACOS, a Building America team leader, focus on refining its quality assurance and construction documentation for building homes at the 40% energy savings level, as well as clarifying and implementing strategies associated with its business activities and future growth plans.
Owner Rob Lisle sees a huge opportunity to transform the housing industry: "We're constantly looking for the next technical advances to maintain our leadership position in the market. Our mindset is 'what more can we do for our customers, and how much farther can we push our product given the current state of technology?'"
Insight Homes hopes to catalyze change in its local market, eventually effecting regional, even national, change. The builder is interested in developing systems and approaches to demonstrate to the building industry how to offer energy efficient, healthy, and durable homes at cost competitive prices.
