Providing a vision of where the industry's headed
Alliance members can learn what's ahead with codes and standards, new product technologies, whole house design strategies, and new business models and management approaches through IBACOS' advanced research -- supported by the U.S. Department of Energy's Building America program.
A handful of Alliance builders and some of our manufacturer partners are directly involved in this research, building test homes and communities that are at least 50% more energy efficient than code built homes. One example of this public-private partnership is the Alliance's Energy Efficiency Lab Home, a research home focused on reaching net zero energy with a production builders' perspective in mind.
