Presenter: Arlan Burdick, Building Performance Specialist, IBACOS
Host: Anthony Grisolia, Services Manager, IBACOS
Heating and cooling load calculation is the first, critical step in an iterative design process for right-sizing HVAC systems. The loads modeled create a domino effect, dictating equipment selection and duct design to deliver the appropriate volume (or amount) of conditioned air to the rooms of the home. Accurate calculations also have a direct impact on occupant comfort, building durability, indoor air quality, and energy efficiency.
During this webinar, Arlan Burdick and Anthony Grisolia of IBACOS will highlight the key criteria required to create accurate heating and cooling load calculations, following the guidelines of the Air Conditioning Contractors of America (ACCA) Manual J version 8. Specifically, they'll discuss:
Current industry rules of thumb, perceptions and barriers to right-sizing HVAC will also be discussed. Attendees will have the opportunity to ask questions throughout the session and share their opinions during several polls.
