What was it all about?

To date, more than 1 million ENERGY STAR qualified homes have been built in the U.S. Many homebuilders have adopted ENERGY STAR as their standard, and now need to determine if they're going to continue with the program and how it will impact their business and design and construction processes now that Version 3 is being implemented.

This webinar will look at ENERGY STAR Version 3 from a homebuilder’s perspective – touching on three key areas:

1. The relationship between ENERGY STAR® and the evolution of codes. How are the two connected? What are the key technical changes for Version 3?
   
   
2. How to use the ENERGY STAR’s Performance Path to your advantage. What is it? How can using the path help you better understand what you’re building, improve your business processes and manage change, whether you achieve future ENERGY STAR standards or not? What useful tools are available?
   
   
3. The most confusing conditions of the program and how to address them. What requirements of Version 3 could cause confusion with your team and trades? What are some best practices for communicating and meeting those conditions?

Attendees had the opportunity to ask questions throughout the session, and provide input on other ENERGY STAR-related topics they’d like to receive information on from the Alliance in 2011.
